CLEVER-SHIELD is an electrostatic disinfection system. Electrostatic Disinfection is a technology that uses an environmentally-friendly spray system to layer an active antiviral and antimicrobial solution on all surfaces. Most importantly, it only needs to be reapplied every 7-14 days (traffic dependent).
When it comes to cleaning surfaces and objects, traditional dry and wet dusting tends to be the first methods that come to mind. While these cleaning techniques are tried and true, they do little more than spread filth around—unless the cleaning materials used are washed and decontaminated regularly.
Dry dusting kicks up resting particles, redistributes them back into the air and onto other surfaces. Wet dusting can involve harmful cleaning chemicals and makes it hard to reach certain spots or objects.

Electrostatic spray surface cleaning is the process of spraying an electrostatically-charged mist onto surfaces and objects. Electrostatic spray uses a specialised solution that is combined with air and atomised by an electrode inside the sprayer. The spray then contains positively charged particles that can aggressively adhere to surfaces and objects. Because the particles in the spray are positively charged, they cling to and coat any surface at which they are aimed.
For awkwardly shaped objects or hard to reach places, the cleaning team only have to point and spray; the nature of the mist allows it to coat and envelope objects and surfaces evenly—even if the mist is only sprayed from one side. After the spray is applied, the sanitising agent works to disinfect the covered surfaces. For this reason, electrostatic spray is an excellent solution for germ and contaminant ridden areas.

What can you do to protect yourself? We recommend that you regularly clean and disinfect all surfaces, switches and objects, and follow these common-sense suggestions.
CLEAN & DISINFECT
Clean your surfaces with soap and warm water. Get into the habit of routinely cleaning areas that are frequently touched or used, such as counter tops, tables, taps and sinks, bathrooms, even your desks, chairs and electronic equipment.
Did you know that most recent phones and tablets can be cleaned with a solution of washing-up liquid and water? Check your device manufacturer's website for full details first!
Disinfect suitable surfaces regularly. There's a number of solutions you can make at home, using either bleach or alcohol.
Alcohol Solution
If you have isopropyl or ethanol (higher than 70% alcohol content — most alcoholic drinks are not suitable), mix it into a solution using 70ml alcohol topped up to 100ml with boiled (then cooled) water. Mark your solution container clearly and keep it away from children or pets.
Household Bleach Solution
In a suitable spray bottle, mix 20ml of household bleach to one litre of water. Make sure you mark the bottle clearly as a bleach and keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
How to use on hard surfaces
Wet suitable surfaces with the mix and let it sit for a couple of minutes before wiping clean. If you are unsure if a surface is suitable, test a drop or two of the solution in an area that will not be seen, then return after 30 minutes to confirm that the area has not been damaged. As with anything to do with these products, be careful, wear protective gloves, and ventilate the area you are working in. Avoid use on fabrics.)
How to use on soft furnishings
For soft furnishings, carpets and curtains, use washing liquids in water, or fabric cleaners designed specifically for the type of material you are cleaning. Anything that can be put in a washing machine should be washed thoroughly according to the manufacturer's instructions.
REMEMBER YOUR HANDS!
It's been said over and over already, but it doesn't hurt to recap the best advice once again!
- Wash your hands thoroughly with ordinary soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If you have been wearing protective gloves, always wash your hands after removing the gloves.
- Use hand sanitiser if you don't have soap and water available. It is recommended to have at least 70% alcohol in the sanitiser solution. If your hands are visibly dirty, use soap and water instead.
- Avoid touching your face at all times with unwashed hands!
